i just bought some michelin pilot alpin ps2 from tire rack for $113. each. only been in a little snow/ice and they performed flawlessly.

i have had bridgestone blizzacks ws-50 and lm-22's. they were okay. the lm-22 was much better in all around driving then the ws-50. ws-50 was better in deep snow.

I've run the Alpins and the Hankook Ice Bear 300's, the Alpins were much better. The Hankook's I'd stay away from since they were essentially a no season tire. Bad in the rain, dry, and just barely liveable in snow.

I just ordered Yokahama W.drives for the S but no clue how good they are until I try them out.

i'm running WS50s for the first time this winter. I've only seen 1" of snow so far, and they're definitely much more surefooted than my pirelli P6 four-seasons. I'll let you know how they do in deeper snow when we get some.

p.s. be prepared to have a horribly 'unattached' driving feel. The tires delay steering input and make the drive much less rewarding. They howl too. I assume this is all normal with snow tires.

There are a lot of things to consider when looking into winter tires. You're at a great starting point here asking for advice. We'd be happy to make some recommendations for you if you would like. Here's a link to the snow sizes that are available for your car.

Prelude Winter Tire options

Are you planning to run snow tires on your stock wheels or are you planning on down sizing?

The WS50's are more of a severe winter tire from what I've read so it would explain why they're a little more squirmy. Also most snows when new have a pretty deep tread depth that makes them squirm a bit too.

I swapped my order for the W drives for Dunlop winter sports based on some personal recommendations. I'm hoping they work out for me but so far from everything I've seen even a crappy snow tire will work better then the best all season.

Ordered

After much research I have decided to go with the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2's. I really haven't read or heard a bad review on them yet. Thanks for all your help and input guys! I will post my own review of these tires in a couple months once we get some snow and ice up here!!

After this winter I need to get some Summer Tires as well....Any Input?!?!

I was going to check our price on the tire just for reference but it looks like we sold out of them quick. Thanks for the reply.

I have been running Dunlop Winter Sport M3 tires for the last 3 winters and have been very impressed with them. P205/55/R16 91V M+S on stock rims.
