Undecided about rims (help)

just bought her last week

eibach pro kit springs (dont know the drop though)

and i am undecided about rims and what size.right now speedbumps and dips are my worst enemy so i was thinking about going up to like a 17"rim with 215/45/17 tires but im open to other suggestions

ive also seen several cars on here with rsx rims and i think they look sweet so im undecided between something like that or to go with like a black or a darker color rim so if u have any suggestions about what u think would look nice post a link or image of rims aswell all feedback is welcome

anyone have alternative rims other then rsx rims that are 5spoke/starlike. if so can u post links because i think that is the style of rim i want to go with and was also wondering if u think the tire size i mentioned above would fit with the drop or what size tire would u recommend that would add a inch or 2 because even though the ride height looks sweet it scraps a bit so i need a little bit more clearance

5 spoke rims look natural on a 5th gen. The boxy frame just blends well with them I suppose. I guess cause its a prime number ? lol idk really.

Some good options for you would be:
- O.Z. Crono HT (in silver or gold)
- Enkei EV5
- Enkei RP03
- Rota Attack
- Rota Slipstream
- Borbet FS
- Good ol' OEM honda wheels from other models (ie: TSX, RSX, S2K, etc)

The Crono HTs and the the Rota Attacks are a personal favorite. I find a lot of beauty in simplistic things. Not a fan of the flower petal wheels.

Also, the HTs and Attacks are very lightweight, but strong enough to take on a moderately dangerous pothole.

17x7.5 wheels are perfect for 225/45/r17 tires. 17x8 with an offset of +45-50 will work well with 225/45 or 235/40 tires. stay away from anything less than 42 offest, and nothing wider than an 8" wheel, otherwise youre lookin into a lot of modification requirements to fit that safely and effectively.

Also, take in mind net wheel weights. oem sh rims are around 19lbs at 16x6.5, tires weigh around 20-30 lbs. weigh your current setup, and then look for a wheel and tire combination that is lighter (and wider if possible). Physics will prove me right, you will feel a teensy bit faster with lighter wheels. Not to mention its much easier on your axles and transmission. The less work the engine has to do, the better it will thank you down the road.

PS: speaking as a fellow prelude enthusiast looking out for another... ditch the type-s badge. They are only cool in the movies. Anybody with any knowledge of hondas will take one look at it, and never take you seriously.
Also, never claim to know a lot. Even if you know a lot, always speak as a humble enthusiast with a desire to learn more, and politley correct ppl when they are wrong. Never claim a person is dead wrong. More than likely its some dumbass kid misinformed him or her, and they just need a bit of redirection lol. Ppl will have a lot more respect for you then, and will actually hold a conversation about your very nice vehicle that you have there. Good buy btw. Would you take a mustang driver serious if he had a saleen bumper with a v6 model and a nissan GT-R badge? (i know some of you guys have seen the youtube of that chump with the ghetto gtr stang lol)

Here, have a good laugh, and get a good look at the type of ppl that are out there screwing up society with their bs, and makin it harder on us lol.

All the wheels you listed are the wrong lug pattern. You need 5x114.3. You need to know the lug pattern, the width, and the offset to figure out if any wheel will fit or not.

I would recommend you read these before purchasing any wheels or tires:

Recommended Tire Sizes & Offsets

Wheel/Tire Fitment **EVERYONE**
