TL type S rims on 5th gen?

Anyone have TL type S wheels on a 5th gen prelude? I have a 99 on neuspeed springs and I'm interested in what it will sit like. Thanks!

I highly doubt anyone has. Most people tend to use RSX Type S wheels.

Try them and report back.

The TL-S rims are 17x8s and they look absolutely fantastic. They kind of remind me of an OEM Honda version of the WedSport TC-005. Not a bad choice. Offset is a bit low for an 8 inch wheel though. Youre gonna have to roll the fenders, and maybe then some. I know for a fact that 17x8 +48 will fit flush without rubbing on stock to -1.5", but any less offset is pushing your luck. If you want, get them and try it out. If youre stock height, then you shouldnt have any issues... maybe...

Without camber adjusters the wheel will follow the same travel path no matter what the static ride height is. Rolling the fenders probably won't have to be done for the front because removing the fender liners opens up another 1 to 1 and a 1/4 of room. The rear is the problem spot but with some shaving of the bumper support tab and other tweaks they should fit. I am soon to be putting 17x8 +45 Enkei's on my car with a 245/40R17, that's going to be a project to fit but there are far more choices in tires in a 245 than a 235.

I hear yah man, 235/40 is the only tire size that is decently wide but still within 3% of the OE spec diameter... and the choices for us in that size are so few and hard to find. What do you think you are going to have to do to get that 245 to fit?

I plan on getting the TL-S wheels for my lude because they are the same color I am getting the car painted (and you cant beat OEM honda), and 235/40 NT-05's or 235/40 Goodyear F1's are the only 2 tire choices that appeal to me. Yah think I could pull off a 245 tire for a Daily Driver?

So, has anyone gotten the TL wheels on their 5g, yet? I've been thinking about picking up a pair for a while, but am not sure they'll fit.

A guy down the street from me has them on his RSX-S. They look smooooth...
