Tires rubbing! Help!

I just bought new rims and tires and when there are people in my backseat the rear wheels rub on the fenders when i make sharp turns. The rims are 17x7.5 and the tires are 215/45/17. The driver side is much worse than the passenger side, so im thinking it may be a shock/strut going out causing it to dip too much, and im getting coilovers soon anyway. Any help? And no i cant return the tires for smaller ones lol thanks.

You are at stock ride height? They should fit without any problems...

Blown shocks usually won't cause rubbing, but worn out springs can.

Is it rubbing the plastic guard inside the fender or do you have burn marks on the sides of the tires from the lip of the fender?

yea i just looked and think its the plastic piece where the fender meets the rear bumper, ill file it down tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem, thanks.

ok so i think removing the tabs helped a lot with the rubbing but i also noticed that on the side that was rubbing (the rear driver side) the space between the tire and fender is about a half inch smaller compared to the rear passenger side. What's going on? lol

Your old worn out springs are probably just sagging more on one side than the other. How many miles on them?

That's not terrible actually, maybe they just aren't seated right? Maybe one of them shifted on the spring perch when the car was jacked up to put the new wheels on?
