Tire pressure is good, but looks low

I have 17" Sportmax Rims with Cooper Zeon 205/45ZR/17 tires.

My fronts are reading 36lbs with a regular pressure gauge and 35lbs with a digital gauge. Yet the tire looks low on air in the front. I am aware the front end is heavy from the engine, but should it make the tire look low on air vs. What the rears look like?

I have also noticed that if I use the gauge on the tire fill machines they read much lower than my 2 gauges. The gauge at the fill pumps will read 36lbs, but my two gauges will read over 40lbs.

What gauge should I trust and is the fronts looking low an issue?

Use a hand held gauge not the one on the compressor. 36 psi should be more than fine really. Next set of tires go with a 215/45R17 next time.

Or you can always take it down to Discount tires/ America tires for the free air check. I believe they ususally put 32 psi on tires.
