Rota Slipstream fitment

Hi, I'm a little confused. Ok I'm really confused about this whole tire/wheel business. After reading around for a while I've decided to go ahead and ask. I'm looking at buying a set of rota slips, 16x6.5 with a 45mm offset. My car is 100% stock and I was wondering if I'd have any problems with fitment and which tire would fit best, giving the room I have.

I'm also buying these from MachIII.net and want to know if anyone has dealt with them before and if they were happy with the purchase.

205/55/15 - Recommended 15 Size Tire w/ 6.5" wide wheel

the 205 in the beginning stands for ? I'm thinking the 55 stands for the offset and 15 stands for the wheel size. Am I right?

in that case...

I should go for a 215/45/16 - Larger Contact Patch
, or a 225/45/16 - Even Larger Contact Patch, Minimum of 7" wide wheel is Recommended. Am I headed in the right direction?

Well, you are 1 for 3. The last number is the wheel diameter. The 205 relates to the width of the tire, and the 55 relates to the tire's sidewall height.

the 205 is how width the tire is that is the part that has contact with the cement it is the part with the design on it, the 45 is the side wall

if you go with the 225 on that 6.5 inch rim you will have some sidewall rubbing under cornering, thats why it recommends a 7 inch wide rim. Id go with the 215, its only 10 mm
difference = about an inch wider over all...
