What is the wheels width? (it should be stamped in to the back of it if you don't know) What is your vehicles year? What tire are you planning on running?
Such a stupid situation! I found Team Dymanics Monza R discs in good condition for a good price, but the problem is, that they make these discs with several offsets ( 7x17 e+15/25/38/45) and they haven't stamped offset on discs! Seller tels that on his Accord they didn't rub!
My mistake, they did put marking on the rims, but it was hard to notice this marking!
All other rims I've seen had marking easier to find
And they are +45 so i took them
Can somebody tell recommended pressure setting fro 215/45/17 tires on Prelude V-gen?
Someone over at Prelude Power is running a setup of
----------
Front: 17 x 10.0 +30
235 / 40
Rear: 17 x 10.0 +25
235 / 40
---------
here is a pic
I honestly this looks SICK ! (but 10" wheels are NOT an easy feat on a 5th gen)
I was wondering if there was a way for me to fit either 10" or 9.5" wheels on a lude, that was dropped maybe 1.5". Could I even go maybe 18" rim with 9" tires ? or would I be safer off staying in the 17's but getting a fatter tire ? Honestly I just wanna fit some beefy wide tires on rims that have a decent lip to them :P (2.5 or 3" lip) I like em deep

Do you like replacing tires several times a year? If not, then no they won't fit.
IMO running on lots of camber and stretched tires looks like crap, and is it purely a form over function thing that will significantly hurt your cars handing and straight line traction. I'd recommend getting wheels and tires that actually fit your car if you intend to actually drive it.
ah alright, I just really liked the look of the pics I posted above. I didnt think it was that damaging to the tires and that I would get a better launch since there is more rubber on the floor. I have however not looked much into this and so don't really know if my info is correct or not and there may be some negative sides to it that I may be unaware of. Any info would be great on maybe the pros and cons of a setup like this. Thanks a lot !
My '97 SH is currently running 17x7 and 43mm offset. Lowered on Tein SS, 1.5" drop. Never one rubbing issue. On 215/40's. BUT... I'm getting ready to order some Advan RZ's. They are 17x8. They are offered in 45mm or 37mm offset. I was really wanting the 37mm, but fitment seems pretty fuzzy. My friend said with 215/45's it should be fine. Any ideas? Much appreciated.
Hm... I was afraid of that. I think one of my friends up north 30 min has a fender roller tool, maybe I'll get ahold of him and see what he thinks. I might call discount tire soon and ask about maybe 215/40's. The 17x7.5" and 17x7" offered only come in 48mm offset. That's pretty weak.

I'd pick a different wheel then. I've already been down the tire rubbing because of using wheels and tires of wrong size route. It sucked. The sound of the tires digging into the fenders and wheel wells is not pretty.
I was wonder about wheel fitment on my 5th Gen base model Prelude. I want to upgrade to some 17x8 with a 45 offset wheels. So, I'm set on having these wheels on my ride and is very curious as to how I would go about making this possible without problems.
Here are my questions:
1. Can I get away with no rubbing issues with this wheel setup on KYB AGX and Tein S Tech lowering springs, also with wheel-well lining and without fender rolling?
2. Will I need wheel spacers?
3. What is the best recommended tire size for these wheels?
4. Should I trim the wheel-well lining? Front or back?
5. Should I have my fender rolled?
These are all that I can think of at the moment.
Let me know what I need to do to make this happen.
Thanks and any answers will be helpful.
:-)
If I got some 17in rsx s wheels, would the extra inch in size throw off my speedo at all? I understand the concept of the rolling diameter needing to be the same and there should be no issues. with that being said, should I get the 17s, and just put a lower profile tire on them?
