are these tires extremely cheap or something? Seems like you really want them. I would just get the Hankooks that paulyg got since it looks like that's exactly what yuo're looking for. I PERSONALLY would get some TOYO PROXES T1-Rs....I KNOW KEEEF is with me on this one!!
I liked the P-zero's but they were very short lived and the grip is about on par with the Hankooks. The Toyo T1's were better as a street tire as it got almost double the miles, a little less dry grip but a great deal more wet grip.

+1
I got 22,000 miles out of my T1-s's...AWESOME TIRES...it's got me to keep on buy toyo tires. The T1-R's have stiffer sidewalls compared to last year so it helps with handling. IMO they are worth the money and the pirelli's Pzero's asymmetrico's are kinda outdated.
I've used both the Hankooks and the Pirelli's for auto-x. I would say go with the hankooks. They had netter turn in response and better grip. Plus, they are cheaper. DD on the hankooks for a while, not bad, a little noisy and the wet grip isn't the best. Never DD on the Pirellis. Also, if you are on stock rims go ahead and get 225/45-16's instead of the stock 205's. Shouldn't be too much more expensive and u'll be getting a larger contact patch.

Any idea how many miles I could probably get out of the 'Kooks daily driving them? Basically, I drive approx. 2k/month, so if I get the tires mid-March and plan to use them until mid-November, that'd be about 16k miles... But then I'd also be auto-x'ing them like 7-8 times... I'm not sure if I should be planning on replacing the tires mid-season or what... any input is appreciated, thanks in advance.

hmm, not to sure, i didn't use my kooks till they died, sold em to by some r-comps. I think one set will last at least the season depending on the surface you auto-x on.

I liked the Asimmetricos. The only reason I didn't use them again was they didn't offer a 225/45/16 for the wider wheels I put on the Lude. The tire I went to was the T1-S in 225/45/16, and I loved them. The best tire (IMO) I have had on any of my cars...but I haven't had the Bridgestone PP S03s on there, yet. The wet grip with both the Pirellis and the Toyos was exceptional...and I didn't notice the soft sidewalls on either of the tires until I took them autoXing or to the track and had to air them up significantly.

Question is, why would anyone still buy the T1-S's if the T1-R's are demonstrably better?
NO idea...haha. It's the same price as the T1-R's on www.edgeracing.com i think too! Maybe it's somethign stupid like they dont' like the thread design on the t1-r's and like the pretty t1-s design. lol
Or maybe they still have T1-S stock, and haven't gotten rid of it, yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of 'specials' on the T1-S in the near future.
