Open tuner lug nuts

I just got a set and there are about 2 threads exposed after wrenching them down. Is that normal?...ok???

that's kinda the point of having open ended... to make space for longer, racing wheel studs. i am not surprised if they stick out even on original wheel studs, especially when the nuts are short. we can help you better if you tell us what brand you use.

Well, it was a general question...not necessarily specific to the brand I bought. But if it helps, here's what I have:

Muteki open tuner nuts M12 x P1.50 (fits 60* taper seat wheels)

Hmmm... now I also wonder if my OZ SL's have a 60* taper seat?

Also, when I re-read my post, my description wasn't clear. Sorry. What I was trying to say was that the stock studs are shorter than the open ended nut, such that the nut threads are exposed, not the stud threads. But I totally get what you are saying about the whole point of haveing open-ended nuts is to fit longer aftermarket studs...makes sense.

gen 5, so now what do you think? Thanks btw

i think it's fine, as long as you've torqued the lugs to spec and there's more than a couple threads of stud in the nut. my open lugs have a little bit of extra space...

ah.... gotcha, but either way is normal i think. these lugs are one size fit most items so they won't be flushed with the studs on every car. i've seen them in different lengths so maybe your muteki happens to be longer, no big deal IMO. i bet my closed ended gorilla has some threads left too, i just can't see it, that's all.
