not the usual will it fit thread.

i have a 98 prelude and am lookin to fit the car with 17x8s with a 45mm offset. not sure of tire size, but for those who have seen/heard/installed a wheel this wide let me know how do-able this is. with it fit in without much complication or is it a PITA to make them fit comfortably?

i know the offset would be great. its tire sizes and width i'm lost with.

And a quick search yields:

Recommended Tire Sizes & Offsets

Quote:
8" Wide Wheels w/ 4th & 5th Gen.
Not recommended without enlarging or rolling outside lip of wheel wells. Some people have had success with running offsets larger than +48mm, but you are taking a risk. The setup that is working for monk3y is 215/40/17 tires dropped about 1.5".
