Ok so im trying buying a new prelude and everything is suppose to be fine except the guy tells me theres only one thing wrong, but i havent been able to see the car yet cuz its kinda far. So he said that the driver front wheel bearing is starting to vibrate He didnt say anything else thats all he said. The car is a 92 prelude with a h22 swap. I was just wondering wat could cause this, how much it costs to fix, and is it worth it. Maybe this a newb question but can you plz help me.... THank you so much.
if you do it yourself, it's about 50 for the bearing and 10 for someone to press teh old bearing out.
you must replace the bearing if it's bad, so wtf would be worth it? the car? maybe you should list the price???
THanks alot guys.. umm he is asking 5,000 for it i really love the look of the car.. here check it out but its far away so i have to drive it through states i was worried if anything could happen before i return back home?
If you're worried about the bearing failing (and I would be), you should consider driving straight to a shop and getting it taken care of. It'll be more expensive (usually $150-200), but you'll be better off. Maybe consider calling a shop in the area ahead of time and setting up an appointment.
ok thanks a lot i thought it was something major.. btw would i be hard to do it yourself?? scale of 1 to 5. Ive done some work on my car before but im probably not as good as you guys.

I would be weary if he left something like this unfixed what else has he skipped out on? Does he have good maintenance records? Are the tires any good? $5,000 seems high for a car that needs some repair.

obviously im gonna talk him down but said he changed back axels, new tires, engine has 80,000 (vtec). btw thats cool for the thread wat do you think is fair price to ask for..
