haha, nah I saw a picture of a silver 5th gen with 18" mesh wheels and it blew my mind. looks amazing! The only wheel I'd do in 17" is the C2 Evo or a Spoke wheel with the spokes reaching to or near the edge of the lip.

here's the lude that is inspring me:

not 100% sure what wheel that is.

ASA AR-1's comes in silver, black, or chrome
Silver 18x8 I'm going to get coilover's and shocks and drop her a bit. I kinda wish they were chrome but i got them for 500 with tires that have about 50% tread so im happy.

Good news. I managed to track down some fresh pressed Konig Imagines in Opal (high gloss silver) finish in the perfect size! 1 month wait on them, but no big deal!

dude . . . opal = black

hopefully you just typed that wrong and haven't put $$ down on hyperblack wheels.

ASA's are a little more tasteful IMO - both have those fake buttons but the Konigs have a gazillion.

To each his own though

check the Konig site. the Opal is not black at all, not even hyperblack.

they call it Opal because it is supposed exibit opalescence.

"Exhibiting a milky iridescence like that of an opal"

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...108&vid=003743

Seen these in person on a Volvo and they looked like a dark gray. Discount Tire describes them as a dark silver powdercoat. Error on Konig's website? Or maybe they changed their color schemes/names? I dunno.

I was bringing it up to possibly save you some hassle though - if you checked on it and you ordered the right wheels, then rock on!

Doesn't appear too dark..

Even if they were, my lude is black and it would look pretty good as they reflect light well.

Worst case, get them refinished after a while.

here's another in opal.
