H&R 5mm wheel spacers OK to use?

I'd like to widen my car's track just a little with its stock Type SH rims. I'd like to use H&R 5mm wheel spacers at all four corners. With my stock wheels, would these spacers cause problems for me later? Should I leave the rim offset alone?

HGow about visual difference? Can you see it if you look at the tires? Is 5 mm enough to kinda make the tires flush with the finders (assuming you are using stock rims).

5mm is about a 1/4 of my thumbnail, I don't think it will make a noticable visual difference. Would it make much difference for handling? 5mm seem so little (I guess it would be 10 mm since there are 2 sides)

I wouldn't do it... just get a wider rim/tire combo...

I have been contemplating using spacers for clearing a big brake kit caliper. The thing to really watch for is the amount of lug thread that you have left. With 5mm, it shouldn't be too bad, but I would still try it out. If there isn't enough thread, then you will have to replace the lugs, and that will involve opening the hub and replacement of new bearings.

If all you want to do is improve the handling, i would have to go along with Keith said...the upgraded wider rim/tire combo will not only fill out the fender, but dramatically improve handling and looks. If your budget is tight, consider Rota or Kosei K1 wheels with Kuhmo tires.

why do you need to replace the wheel bearing to get new wheel studs on?

I was able to do this without doing that. but then again I wasn't using extended studs, I was replacing OEM studs.

Another question--- the H&R wheel spacers that I want to use, they include extended lug studs. yet I see people not use them in favor of ARP studs.

In the interest of not wanting to spend an additional 80 bucks for ARP extended studs, can someone explain why they do this and whats wrong with the H&R Studs?

Hmm.
