Got a question about tire size for 17" wheels

Hey all well my freind is parting his car out he put a hole threw his block he just bought some bf goodrich kdw2 205/40Z/17 i was wondering if they would fit on my 5th gen prelude i had the same tires but the size was a little different they are 215/45Z/17 is there anything i should be worried about any one?? LMK please thanks

yea im well aware of that lol thanks i did look at that but im saying there is NO way for my wheels to fit on that tire size?

Yes they will fit, with minimal protection, and in my opinion since a friend had that size once, the traction SUCKED also.. 215/40/17 is the LOWEST to get on a 17 inch rim IMO.

it'll depend on how wide your wheels are. the 40 aspect ratio will be no problem as you'll just have less tire protecting the rim. you probably shouldn't stretch a 205 wide tire on anything wider than a 6.5" wide wheel though..i doubt it'll fit a 7" wide wheel and definitely not a 7.5"

yea i think im going to say F him lol im going to get some other tires i guess from tirerack ill just stick with my 215/45Z/17s then yo keith when u coming by text me!
