Wasn't sure where to post this. A friend of mine is selling her stock rims from her Acura RSX Type S. I wasn't sure how much I should offer her. I was thinking $200 sounds fair. They are in good condition and don't come with tires. Any opinions? Thanks.
all the sets of '05 Type S rims i've seen have always been around $500 for just the rims. That's usually the going price but if you can swipe 'em from her for any cheaper, even $200, then more power to you

I have two in like new condition that I just bought and they were $410 shipped, no curb rash at all and I bought the other two for for $185 each also in almost brand new condition completely clean. They're expensive and rare but look so clean on a 5th gen.
bought mine in may for 600 W/ tires. They are almost impossible to find for less than 500! They look great too. here is my car with them recently installed, dropped, ect...
Very nice. What did you use to drop it? Also, what size tires are those? The stock RSX size is 215/45 but I wanted to put 215/40. $600 with tires seems like a good price to me, that's how I came up with the $200 with no tires.
$200 without tires is a hell of a lowball in my mind but sh*t, if i could get them for that price then i sure as hell would. they're gonna be used and so are the tires so i think people would probably want about $100-$200 extra if tires are included

thanks for the compliment man! They are 215/45/17 and I used some tein s techs to drop her 1.5 in the front and 1.3 in the rear. ride is great now. I also installed a full ST sway kit so now it corners like it is on rails. Love the rims too, i am constantly getting compliments with the custom Honda center cap made for them!
alrite cool, thanks guys. using ur replies, we worked out a deal for $300 for the set. Oh and afesposi, i was going to put 215/40's on the rims (based on the sticky) but looking at your ride makes me think i'll be alrite with 45's. potholes in chicago suck.

yea man you are going to want to go with 45's . I noticed a little bit smoother of a ride with the 45's over the 40's. The michelin mxm4's are expensive as hell and a great tire but I found that the falken 512's are a good tire too and a great buy for the price let me know how they look man, im eager to see!

45's.. Smoother ride, and more protection, but dont lower it too much on 45's..
40's.. Better handling, and better looking and can lower it a bit more. But I wouldnt.... Sidewall flexes less with 40's. Depending on the tire it can flex more or less.

I'm dead broke right now but as soon as I can afford some decent tires (few more weeks hopefully) I'll get em mounted and take some pics.

lol. I was lucky enough to be friends with someone that owns a 2006 type S. I told her, as soon as she buys new rims, to make sure to sell the stock ones to me.

good call man. 45 with offer the better protection for these wheels.
