err another "will I rub"

ok so I have 205/40/17 on right now.

I wanna go wider, much wider, whats my limit? Everyone says 215's should be ok, but what about 225's???

my offset on the rims is 43
Im lowered about 1.7 inchs with a camber it, if this info matters.

43 offset is borderline I think.
225's you will rub for sure, 215 you MIGHT rub a tiny bit.

i'd think your main restriction is the height. you should have enough room for 225/40 if you can raise the car a bit. i am facing the same kind of problem as you do, with 215/45/17, 42 offset planning on 1", no more than 1.5" drop, will i rub? (sorry for hijacking your thread )

Is your rim big enough for 225?

Also according to this http://www.hondaprelude.to/forums/sh...&threadid=1077

17's and 225 rubber are not approved for the 5th gen anyway by some tire makers...maybe 16's but 17's? I dunno man...

My buddy ran 16" Konig Elan rims with 225/45/16 rubber with a drop and no rubbing.

I'm running 215/40/17 and I'm fine. 225/40/17 is a odd size tire hard to find.. I know nitto makes one but thats all I know of.
