can you guys give me a list of manufacturers that make wheel locks?

the ones i know of are gorilla, mcguard, and kyokugen. do you guys know of any good wheel locks i can use. also does each manufacturer have one wheel lock per wheel with the rest being regular lug nuts? or are they all wheel locks? oh and are wheel locks universal? like will they fit any rim so long as the thread pattern is correct?

Add Mugen (which is probably made by Bull Lock), Rays (7 sided) and a few other expensive ones

here's mine

nothing too fancy
they're McGard - i just bought them from my local import shop.
i like how the key grabs from the inside.

i've heard that people being able to remove the other type where the key grabs from the outside by hammering a socket onto it.
I'm not sure if that is true or not, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

ugh i was looking at some of these prices and some of those wheel locks are pretty expensive . i was looking at getting 5 different wheel locks which is proabably gonna run me a few hundred $$. not only that but i'll be left with a sh1t load of regular lugnuts that i won't be using

also do you guys know any good shops where i can order the wheel locks you mentioned?

oh and since i want jsut the wheel lock, would it matter if i got a 4 lug set even though it's a 5 lug rim? just so long as i get 12x1.5 right?

um... you really only new one locking nut on each rim.
just go to a couple of stores and pick out your favorite ones.

if someone wants your rims, they are going to find a way to take them
lock nuts just slow them down.

i just got mine to make myself feel better knowing that my rims are some-what safe.
usually, i parked inches from a wall, so they can't get to one side of my car.

We use the McGard spline drive lug nuts. They come in sets of 4 or five per wheel depending on the car. Very hard to remove without the tool. The ones shown in the picture can be removed by a pro with a set of keys but that is true of many versions.

Just a tip for those concerned about wheel theft:

NEVER keep the key to your wheel locks IN the car - even if it's locked in the trunk or glovebox. Sign up for AAA for if you get a flat, and leave the wheel lock key in a safe place at home.
