best 215 40 17 tire

ive been lookin around and some really great tires i have heard about dont seem to have my size or something on their sizing chart on their websites. Sooooo, what is the best tire of that size for a 5g dropped on neuspeed sports with koni yellow, if camber settings really matter they are about 1-2degrees which is about normal for that drop.

the nitto neo gens are supposedly more resistant to uneven wear. I'm sure they're nowhere near as good a quality tire as the F1's though. I haven't heard any reviews about them yet.

fmshaw1971 told me about 40,000 miles if you treat them nice

as for the author of this thread, I would get camber kits first if you all ready didnt, youre going to spend a good amount for tires just to have them wear out faster than theyre supposed to

it kinda depends on what you want from the tire...

BF Goodrich TA \KD if you want ultimate dry grip performance.
Bridgestone S0-3 if you want great dry and wet grip performance.

Dunlop SP9000 if you want most of what the S0-3 offers, but with longer life.

Yokohama ES100 \ Falken Ziex 512 \ Dunlop FM901 if you want good performance in wet\dry, and much cheaper than the above tires.

....there's so many suggestions you could make, really...but it depends on what you want out of the tire.

40K? Nah, that's a little too high. You would have to have perfect camber and toe and baby them. With spirited driving, I am expecting to get about 25K out of them. That's really GOOD considering I got 6k out of Yokohama 520s and about 10k out of Pirelli Pzeros.

The GS-D3 is every bit as good as the S-O3, but $40 cheaper. Don't listen to that nonesense about a soft sidewall. It would be true in the stock size, but if you are running a 40 aspect sidewall, it won't matter. If you don't like it, bump up the pressure about 5lbs and it will fix it. The GS-D3s are rated to handle a maximum of 52 psi.
