Right now the car has Faulken Ziex ZE 512's on the car. Time for new tires. I am a little unsure about these because I have no experience with them - they are $20-$30 cheaper per tire than the Potenzas.
I have no problem with these tires - it's what came on the car when I bought it.
I had BFG G-Force Sports on the Si, they had about 30,000 mi on them and still had life left - I thought this was a great tire.
I have been looking around and it's down to 4 choices:
Faulken ZE512
BFG G-Force Sport
BFG Super Sports
Bridgestone Potenza RE760
Any recommendations for or against? I'm leaning towards the Bridgestones, but I'm afraid the treadlife won't be that great - I drive to work and back everyday and occasionally hit the curves. I need an all-season tire that does well in we weather.
No problem bro! I think they have a lifetime balancing package that comes with it if you buy the tires there. The alignment was an extra 50-75 I think. I'm not sure though, I can check when I get home if you'd like. They also only had Z rated tires in the stock size that I think I paid $80~ each for.
I also got the road hazard plan since it was almost the exact amount I saved when they matched tirerack.com's price.
I can all and see about my store here, unless you have that info easily available. Did they do a quality job with the alignment? Did the alignment come with any kind of 'warranty'?
The BFGs at sears are 109 right now, DiscountTireDirect has them for $91, so they may price match....I'll hope for it.
Sure man. I would have already looked for you but at the moment the internet at my place is being retarded...so I only have access elsewhere.
They guys at the sears near me definitely did a quality job though. I had them take off my old set of stockies and put on a different set with new tires. They explained the alignment numbers on the printout they gave me and all. Can't remember about the warranty or not, this was around 4 months ago.
