That might not be wide enough. I have 215/40/17 on 7.5" wheels, and I don't know if I would go with anything skinnier than that. If someone has run this setup feel free to correct me though. BTW, why not just go with a 215/40/17 tire? It is wider and you should have no problems rubbing as long as your wheels are the correct offset.

That's my Problem Ark86... i got a wrong offset. i just bought the rims because it is really cheap. Now the tires would rub on the lip because i have 225/45/17 on it. i still dont know if it'll rub on 215... but to make it sure, i want to make it 205 if it'll work...

i hope someone have an idea if this will work...

TIA

Here's a photo with the 225/45zr17... not yet Dropped but soon it'll be...

205 will work just fine on a 7.5 inch wide rim. A lot of the 240 guys will run 205s on as wide as 9" wide rims. Some will even stretch them over 10" wide rims so your 7.5 will work just fine.

What's your offset? You might be fine running 215s. If you're going to run 205s, I would go with a 45 series because a 40 series will be very thin and will throw your speedometer off by quite a bit.

ET 42 is most likely the offset of the wheel.

Thank you... now i know it is not a recommended offset...

i just hope that it wont rub the lip if i do the 205 tires, that way it"ll probably spread the width of the tire and lessen the width...

do you think i can still drop 1.5" with this wheels?

Your offset is +42. That's what the ET42 means on the wheel. You'll be fine with a 1.5" drop running 205s. Heck, you might even clear with 215s but will probably rub on the rear tab if you hit a big dip or something.

That just means your wheel sticks out 1mm further than his.
