18" rims or 17" ? whats better?

whats the best size in rims to go on a 97 Prelude? Ive been told 17" are perfect. What about 18" is that to big? will the alignment need to be done every month?

17 is the most ideal but you can go 18. it's up to you.

you won't need an alignment if you are putting on new wheels. unless you hit alot of potholes / curbs / speedbumps, you won't need it

I personally never liked the look of 18s. The tire sidewall is way too skinny and so the rim looks even bigger. Search around for pictures.

If you want, you can do an alignment every month. There really is not need to past the first time. Typically, if you live in an area that has potholes and other crappy road conditions, you may want to get an alignment once a year to get everything back into spec, not that it changes too much.

The reason why I asked was because im getting 18" 5zigen powder gold which look extremely nice from a friend for 5bills. There is no way ima turn that down. But ive had 18" on my honda accord 93 and I could actually count each rock I hit on the road. Plus they do look big. So I think ima sell them or trade them for same but 17". thanks guys
