18" on 5th GEN

Hey, I've been shopping around for new rims for my 5th Gen prelude. Currently I have it dropped and have 17 x 7.5 215/40's Veloche Spikes on them. I am interested in Zenetti Flow's, the website I'm getting them from says that they will fit but Im unsure and dont want to risk spending the cash, here is the sizes I'm looking at;
18x8.5 215/35HR18
18x8.5 225/40HR18

Will these bad boys fit without rubbing? Can I still have some drop on my car with these?
Thanks

8.5 is pretty wide for a prelude. What offset are the rims? Is there a reason why you want to run a staggered tire setup?

I just looked at all the rims on the site that they said fit and thought those looked the best but the smallest they come is in those sizes mentioned above. Not sure about the offset.

With out knowing the offset there's no way to guarantee it will fit. If you're not lowered you may not have rubbing problems but it's a completely different issue when you are.

Still doesn't solve the problem. You can have wheel that's only 7.5" wide but with a low offset it will rub.

All the 18's I have looked at and liked have offset's of 40-45mm nothing higher. I looked at the first couple permanent threads on this but when your talking hard earned cash to buy these you want to make sure your not going to have any trouble. I suppose I could play it safe and get 17's but I already got some and want to see some 18's on it my car. Would 18 x 7.5 with 215/40/18's with 40-45 offset with a drop sound ok? websites tell you your car can fit so much more but on here its recommended not to. I'm lost whats the max you can do for tires and rims dropped 1" with no rub.

215/35/18 - Larger Contact Patch, Small Profile means Less Protection for Wheels
215/40/18 - Larger Contact Patch, Overall Diameter is Larger
225/35/18 - Even Larger Contact Patch, Recommended tire size for 18x7.5" with at least a +48mm offset
225/40/18 - Even Larger Contact Patch, Overall Diameter is Larger, Not Recommended if car is Lowered

It's not like that **** is stickied at the top of the page or anything...

Not sure if this will help, but I have 18"x7.5" with 215/35/18, lowered about 1.5" with Tein S-techs. The only rubbing issues I have are on the front passenger side and occasionally in the rear, all under hard cornering or massive bumps/potholes. If I could do it over again I think I'd go with 17's...i get a little "puckered up" when I hit potholes.

i have konig within rims they are 18's with 215/35/18 no rubbing issues and its safe to be lowered onto skunk2 springs..which lower 1.8 in front 2 in rear...so there are no rubbing problems for me...u should be safe with 18s...
