17x8 +55???

Was looking into some 17x8 with a +55 offset and was wondering if they would fit on a 4th gen with a 5 lug swap while clearing a rotora bbk? Any info about fitment or tire sizes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The SSR Comps fit well and they're 17x8 +48. You'll need a spacer to run a +55 wheel - I would imagine a 5mm would work but maybe a 10mm spacer and some slight fender modification would be a safer bet.

5 mm will pull it out just enough for the wheel to clear but the tire may rub on the inside knucle arm. And i wouldn't run a 10mm spacer without extended studs.

oh, absolutely - I never said it was the best way to go Just working within the parameters he gave.

personally, I'd love to get a set of the new SSR Competitions when TireRack gets them in June and run a 235/40/17. Alvanderp and a few others have already confirmed fitment so its a safer bet.

I'd stay away from 17x8 +55 unless I absolutely HAD to have the look of that particular wheel.

5mm spacer should work, but yeah a 7-8mm would be better. +48 is the sweet spot for fitting an 8" wheel under a 5th Gen. +44 is about center on a 4th Gen. This is only for an 8" wide wheel.
