17x8.5 on 5th gen

I have 4 ap2 v1 rear wheels aaaand a 5th gen lude.. any one fit such a wide wheel on a fifth gen? Im all for suspension mods but would this be a waste of time?

I know a dude running an 18x9 wheel. fits fine. and his tires are a lil thick. If he went smaller it would look perfect. I forgot the offset though

in order to run these wheels, you would need spacers to bring them down to oem offsets. then, use your creativity to make these fit.
