17 or 18 inch subzeros???opinions?

ok im gonna FINALLY order wheels in about a month and i am set on the rota bronze subzeros, i would like to get 18's but there are a few things that are worrying me. First off, the costs of tires for 18's are a lot more than 17's right?....secondly, im going to lose a bit of speed with 18's compared to 17's right, (even tho subzeros are very light...the 17 inch subzero weighs 16.5 pounds while the 18 weighs 19 pounds)...lastly rubbing (i doubt it)?.....thats why i think i should jus go for 17's.....what do u all think?...btw the 18's are only 600 dollars on machiii.net and 17's are 550.......

18's...duh...hahah since weight is not an issue nor is cost and get a reasonable offset

Plus your car is going to be higher off the ground so your Mugen kit won't scrape...Mine scrapes so much on these crappy MD roads when I'm not careful, I have stock 16" w/ no drop

I would personally go 17's if you are choosing between those 2 sizes. i would take speed over looks. With the SS, you don't want to hurt yourself anymore. If you want looks more than speed, than definiteyl get the 18's

18's, true they slow you down a little, but i'm blown so it doesn't matter...but in all honesty...18's look so much better. The only thing you need to worry about is the condition of the roads around...but 18's are the way to go, and get some light 16's for AutoX.

I am glad I bought 17s... but I do want 18s now.

I do NOT wish I had gotten 18s to start with.

Not if you buy proper tires.

I'm really happy that I got the 18's. I have H&R race springs (2") drop, with no rubbing what so ever. Even with four people in the car. I got the 48 offset. I think that setup is perfect. I'd get bronze as you can see they look good.

for those of u that said u'd choose speed over looks, why even get 17's, why not stay in 16's?

second, what color are those subzeros on the black car? bronze? what colors are available?

www.tirerack.com is an excellent site for looking at rims. You pick a car, then pick the rim and it will compile an image showing you what it would look like!!

Dave's (black 5th gen. in the pics) rims are bronze Rota Sub-Zeros.

The colors available are Steel Gray, Bronze, White, Black, Gold, Gun-Metal, and Silver (with polished lip).
