Have you got an estimate for the damage yet? I wouldn't be surprised if it was a total loss.

Sorry for the wreck and glad you're okay but when I see this, it makes me disturbed. Every other driver was fine out there, unless someone hit you (which by the frontal damage, looks like it was your fault), there is no excuse.

It would have been different if you said "oh i wasn't driving correctly for the conditions" or "I was following too closely to the car in front of me" but don't say there was nothing you could do.

well you are just a big smart ass ehh???
she was turning with no blinker...it was raining bad couldnt see. i wasnt following close. fogged up windshield. there was 3 wrecks in less than 10 mins on the same road all in a 3 mile strip. i slammed on my breaks thats what you would have done too you dont have time to think of everything you could have done. i couldnt do anything about it. but its coming back bigger and better.

There is a way to 'unfog' a windshield.

See??? We're all smartasses.

Did she cut you off and stop? Unless she straight up cut you off and braked hard then yes there's nothing you could have done. But almost all cases of rear ends are the fault of the car behind due to the reason they were either driving too fast or following to close. If you were driving slower and far enough back there is enough room to stop. If you couldn't see all the reason to slow down even more to give you enough stopping distance.

So you couldn't see clearly and decided to keep going. That sounds totally like it wasn't your fault.

Saying there were wrecks in the vicinity and timeframe doesn't matter, they were all inconsiderate drivers as well. If I lived in a ghetto part of Detroit, I can't just say, "Oh well people get murdered everyday, guess it's okay for me too"

Why don't you just man up and admit it was your fault. People drive in the rain all the time w/o problems, obviously the smarter ones.
