Well a while ago the cars automatic gave out. So i decided to swap it to a five speed. So far i have all the parts necessary for the swap but will be doing more while its summer and can work alot. Here's a couple pics of what i have right now
a hytech replica. i put it on almost a month ago and the next day the automatic went out. it wont be on there much longer though. around dec/jan itll be gone and will be replaced
Its sitting on an engine stand with the lift hovering just incase. I like to be safe with this. Next on the list is cleaning the bay and polishing the engine up then swapping
Thanks man. Yeah im in a rush to get it done now. It really has to be done by Aug 18th for school. I wanted to try to stay organized. So far everything is going good. I hope it keeps up lol
Take my advice from a guy who rushed to meet a deadline on his car...
If it is not a life and death emergency to get it running by a certain date, don't be dsappointed and don't cut corners to get this thing running by time your school starts. Although you want to show it off the first day of school, patience is key. Everyone will be self-obsessing about themselves and how they look or what they have new and will want everyone else to acknowledge that first. If I were you, I'd take my time on your project and that first day of school when you don't have your car, dont' sweat it. Just go up to the first hot girl you see that you know changed her looks over the summer and remark about how you like the new "hair, clothes, piercing, etc" on her and start the year off right, then the next week or two when things die down, blow off everyone's doors when you come into the parking lot with your *insert standout turbo feature here* to get everyone's attention.

That is how a pimp would do it.
Good point. Im being really careful with everything im doing. Its the first time ive done anything like this like everything else ive done. Im being extra patient and taking the time to think things through. So far i havent had any thing major hold me up. Im keeping my fingers crossed lol
Its the original h22a4 that came with the car. i had the vc powder coated about a year ago. i did come close to getting a type s h22a but it fell through. thanks man. i love working on the car. i just hope the engine stays clean after its back up and running lol
Well made a little bit more progress. Re did the brake lines. You can see one of the new ones in the first pic
I kinda had a gap in my thought process and put the prop valve right where i need to put the clutch master cylinder to. None of the brake lines are kinked. Just bent and curved to fit in the space. This is going to be one tight space once the clutch master cylinder is installed lol. ****
Looking good, im enjoying readin this thread. Keep the posts and pics coming my man, some real good stuff. That tranny looks jessica alba! And that block looks f***in Halle Berry man!
well not to much happened today. woke up late. wont be able to drop the engine in tomorrow. but some pics of what i did get done
got the brake pedal on. the automatic one is probably 2-3x's the size of the 5spd
getting ready to do the n0rmal hole
n0rmal hole punched!
the drill died and is charging. will do the holes for the clutch cylinder and all that then get the clutch pedal on. if i feel ok ill do the clutch/flywheel to. hopefull dropping in the engine in tuesday and start getting it all back together
LOL. Are you still mad that i got you banned, again, i think for the third time over on pp. Your a loser dude. Go find a hobby that doesnt include messing up Preludes
Im not mad by some weird person who has been harassing me for almost a year now. Its starting to get old, but im not mad. You must really not have a life if you have now started to post on here b/c you cant find a way back on pp.

Thanks man. Ive started to fall behind on the swap some. The drill isn't wanting to charge so i cant punch the holes to install the clutch pedal. Hopefully later tonight i can get that done. Then tomorrow get alot done with the help of a friend
Don't get discouraged Jesse, like I told you, the weirdest things will go wrong on your build. But you'll just have to tackle one problem at a time. It's always good to have a friend nearby that can offer assistance or encourage you to keep working on it when you're fed up. Now is the time where you might consider cutting corners, but remember what I said with my last post, don't concentrate on the timeline if it's not life or death, concentrate on quality first. If you half-ass something, you're just going to end up regretting it later and that's all you'll think about.
The block looks nice all painted up btw. Good job so far. What's your turbo manifold looking like? What are you going to use to tune the car?
Thanks Mike. Its just been a little aggravating lately. Im trying to get back in that mind set of one thing at a time and just go slow. If today goes well with what i have planned it should help me out alot mentally.
The bad news is i wont be able to turbo. My mom works at the post office and there are rumors in the newspaper that they may cut the work wk down. If that happens her job could be lost. Just in case that happens im gonna have to stop with the car after the swap and help out with the bills and all and start putting some money in savings
