The car is fun to drive on the street, and amazingly well-balanced on the track. I let my best friend drive it at Willow (he has a racecar and is intimately familiar with the track) and he was amazed at how well it handled. He took turn 2 steady at 90mph and barely got the back end to come loose. We had a C6 Vette in our group and he liked driving my car more...

Damon -- this is my second time at the track (1st with the M). I went with www.opentrackracing.com. They are really good...$200, 5 sessions, event was very well run.

YES!!! But honestly, when I first drove the M3, I didn't feel that it lived up to the hype. After spending some time in it, I've concluded that this car is just amazing.

Dustin, you got an SMG? BOOOO. How do you like it (the smg)?

I've driven a '97 E36 M3 and it felt alot mroe stable than the lude. This might sound stupid but...how exactly does SMG work? is it just a padal/bump shift?

I've thoroughly enjoyed driving my car on the street, but it came alive on the track. So much so that I can't wait to go back

I love the SMG...it was a little weird not having a clutch at first, and I still miss rowing back and forth, but the SMG is an amazing piece of technology (esp since I drive 25 miles to/from work in traffic ). It was really awesome on the track, making better shifts than I would have

Basically...you can move the shifter up and down to move between gears, but the paddles work fine as well + you don't have to take your hands off the wheel.
