I do not need to explain anything to you.
My broken wings still strong enough to cross the ocean with.
My broken wings how far should I go drifting in the wind.

Vic- They make the Anodized paint in blue as well!
98base- Thanks! I'm so happy I took the time to do it over.
Chad- I have to take the pictures with the digital camera at work (I'm leaving now-you gotta love summer hours!). If I get some free time on Monday, I'll take some closeups so you can all see how the paint looks.
You have to buy 2 cans- a base coat and a top coat. The base coat is silver and combined with the colored top coat, gives it the anodized look. If you try painting w/o the basecoat, it doesn't look that good. BTW, this paint dries FAST. You don't have to spend a lot of time for it to dry between coats.- 2-3 minutes is all. It took me a little longer because I sanded and washed all the pieces to make sure the paint would stick. The hoses are braided covers that I bought at Pep Boys. They just slide over the hoses. I'll just have to periodically squeeze the radiator hose to make sure it is still ok.

mine is blue too and looks really out of place in the engine bay.
i would think the paint would crack or something.
Well, to be totally honest, the first time I painted them, the paint started to crack and flake the second I tried to put them on. I took them off, tried to sand as much paint off as I could, and painted a VERY light coat about 10 times. I did get a little cracking this time, but you have to get really close to notice.
LudedSi- Some red AEM pulleys would look nice, wouldn't they.
Keith- yeah, it's a hose sleeve kit from PepBoys. ~$40
That M5 is a torque MONSTER (not to mention 400hp), but what do you expect for $75K. My boss took me for a ride and I think my body lines are still imprinted on his passenger seat.
I believe (but don't quote me) that they only make a silver base coat, and red or blue top coats. I think that there's only 1 shade of each color.
It also says that it resists heat to 500 degrees. It also says on the can that if you are painting bare metal, you only need the topcoat. If you are painting something that is already painted, or any plastics, you need the base coat. Like I said before, it only takes 2-3 minutes for a coat to dry, so it wasn't a hassle between coats/colors.
