Super Clean Prelude Build

What's up guys and thanks for checking out my build thread. My name is Jae and i live here in jacksonville, FL (home of the Jacksonville, Jaguars) tho im not really a fan. lol. I have had my lude for a lil little over a year and half and it just recently that i've actually really put in any time and effort so i decided to start up a build to keep me motivated in working on my car. I've been on this site for a while but never really posted anything so i hope you guys enjoy.

I bought my 97 Lude about a year and ago and she was a total mess at the time. As you can tell from the pic below she was pretty beat up. I was pretty hesitant on buying her being that at the time i was also considering going to a VIP look and build so i was lookin at a Beamer. But after i took her out for a spin around the block and down the road, i knew that this is what i wanted and that she had to come home with me.
$3500 and she was all mine for the taking...

I dont know what the hell the previous owner did nor was he thinking. I guess it was owned by some ricer kid who didnt know how to maintain not keep the car up to its original standard.
Stupid loud ass N1 replica cat back mufler

That was for ****s and giggle. So like i mentioned it took me just about a full year to really start working on my car. Sucks to say that i neglected my lude, but i did. Not because i didnt want to do anything but because I had so many other things going on. But hey, late is better than never. Here's a picture time line on the things that i've done here and there to my lude.

Last but not least..

There were quite a few things that i had done between the before and after pics and i will get into all those details later. I just wanted to let you guys see how much i have grown to love my prelude. Hope you enjoy the pics. Let me know what you guys think so far!

Just need a Type S front lip and then she will be done on the outside. Very nice color choice.

@death_adder Yes Ap1 staggered set up 2 fronts and 2 rears. Bought the wheels for $200 off craigst list and they were in ok condition. I was going to keep it the stock color but decided to go with a bronze look and to my surprise they turned out awesome..!

B L I N G....!

I wanted to try and save the H on the wheel cap but damn it would have been a pain..!

Oh yah those are Muteki SR48 Platinum LugNuts incase anyone was wondering. The Bronze reflects off the platinum pretty nice..!

@Honda4Life: I did think about the Type S lip but the more and more i see, the more and more i want to get the OEM Mugen front bumber. Keep the side skirts and back bumper OEM. Any input?

If your gonna do a mugen front, it's not OEM as it is aftermarket. Also GL on finding a REAL mugen one. If ya do, it's gonna cost a ton. Then you will also need the JDM fogs for it.

If you get a replica, to mount them and the turns, ur gonna have to mod it which is a pain.

A Type S lip is really clean IMOP and would look great on this car and be cheaper to do than a Mugen front, modding to it, having to buy fog and paint ith bumper as well.

car looks great! Love the white!
btw, using aftermarker lug nuts on OEM wheels isnt very safe.
AP1 wheels' offset are pretty high, add some wheel spacers for more flush looks.

agreed on the spacers. I saw a whitle bb6 at Nashville for the fall IA meet a while back. Its was on coilovers also with factory polished s2k wheels. Extra clean. My new favorite set up. Props to a clean build!!

@hrpfg2 & @H22stalker: Thanks for the advice and input guys. Having a flush look would definitely set it off..! Im also looking at maybe getting a new set of wheels. I have my eys on a set of 17" Jmags staggered 7 1'2 wide in the front 8"1'2 in the back. My friend has it on his s2000 and we tried puting it on my car and they sit great..! Ill try to take a pic of it this week to show you guys.

Aside from that here are a couple more pics of the ride that i took today!

IMOP, get rims of the same size. It is a front wheel drive and there is absolutely no reason for wider tires in the rear on these cars unless you do a rear wheel drive conversion.

no, Just sold the Mugen twin loop exhaust.
Its hard trying to sell parts... the exhaust took over 3months to be sold and the MZ3x's are still sitting at the house..

some where around 450 shipped... box and shipping cost close to 80 dollars! so pretty much sold it for the price your buddy was selling his to you.
I was just trying to clear out some room in the garage to store my S.
