Please tell me there's an update on this car soon. This car is absolutely amazing. Let me rephrase:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This guy is the most badass Prelude owner that has ever lived. I vote this the Cleanest, Sickest Prelude in the world.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh man... I wish these updates would be more frequent, but reality can be cruel sometimes. There really wasn't much happening with the car since my last post... that's until last week when I had enough of excuses and demanded that something gets done instead of empty promises.

First, all the joints were filled with the rubber filler as it was originally before the welding was done.

The interior of the chassis should have been painted more than a month ago but it was actually done this week. Here's the result...

The paint used in the interior is just plain white as it doesn't really matter and it would be just a waste of money to paint it with anything else.

The added steel bar reinforcment is clearly seen here...

The whole chassis was prepped for paint with great care. I was told that this is as good as it can get. I replied with "Perfect will be just fine, thank you."

The car should get painted next week but the painter called me today and told me to better come at once... WTF?! He didn't want to tell me what's the problem but he sounded worried. I tried to keep a brave face as I drove to the paintshop... but really expected the worse.

When I got there, the whole staff of about 10 people were waiting for me... WTF is going on here guys? Someone said something about a problem with the welds on the chassis and we went to take a look... This is what I saw.

Sorry for the crappy pics... I made them with my phone since I came totally unprepared.

The paint itself is simply stunning... and the paintjob is just immaculate. I have never seen a car painted this good before. Hands down to the crew, really...

Next week the car goes to my mechanic to get the engine and drivetrain installed. If all goes well I should have it at home in a week or so. It'll be then all up to me... And I hope the updates will get more frequent from that point onwards. Keep your fingers crossed...

It's a one-off piece... maybe I could persuade the guy to make one more, but it would be very expensive, I'm sure.

If your car ends up looking even better than it did when it was blue, I don't even know what I'll say!

I won't even get into how rude it is of that girl to step on your wheel (though, I'd probably let her step on mine, too!) lol

Wow!

Cannot wait to see the Prelude finished. It's gonna be sick! Hey, I was wondering where you found the Brembo calipers and how you did the LED taillights? And again, very nice, clean work. PM me with a reply.

Sorry for the sluggish updates folks... I'll try to keep up with demand.

A couple of pics of the chassis with a real camera...

Seibon CF hood... ready to be painted.

Custom made CF rear spoiler... It'll be partially painted later in a same way as the front hood.

Meanwhile, the engine is slowly coming together also. We measured the engine block, the crankshaft and rods for deformation and wear since these won't be new and the results were just stunning. All the measurments are well better than those allowed by Honda for new parts. I also decided to replace the oem rod bolts with ARP's for some extra protection on the bottom end.

Engine block and engine head... ready & waiting.

I'll be using Accord TypeR's pistons since they're better than those used in any other H22 engine. The difference is clearly seen in the picture below... However, some modifications were neccessary for ATR's pistons to fit on euroR rods. The engine block will also be TypeR's H22A7 since I had a low milage specimen on hand.

Crankshaft after polishing...

That's it for now... Next week will be interesting, I'm sure. I'll try to keep you updated so stay tuned.

Looking beautiful as expected. Makes me sad to not own a lude anymore, but proud of the legacy.

Cannot WAIT to see the finished product.

Too bad all the effort you put into this and how well thought out it is you still dont have "The Best Prelude in the World"

I'll call yours the nicest though since its obvious its damn close where some of the others aren't even half way there.

The hood is being painted like mine... the car is now white like mine... he's got the crankshaft balanced and blueprinted like mine... he has a triple gauge pod in the center dash like mine... his steering wheel is on the same side as mine... oh my God! He's becoming the next Best Prelude in the World!

P.S. 4 wheel steering is something I won't ever get, so his car very well could top mine!

i'm extremely curious to see how you're going to split up your custom made rear spoiler to partially paint it to match the hood. i'm very excited to see how it'll come out. i'm sure whatever you do will will top anything i've ever seen!!!

wow you're kidding right? sorry dude but your car is: 1) ugly as hell, 2) is depressed that you're its owner.

i mean, i read your thread title, end up seeing this as said "best prelude in the world", and come to find out you're serious...

ill kiss your feet the day you put the amount of work into your car as this guy has. by the way, sweet door sills.

Spoken like a true hater...

I like VTI BB8's work just as much as you all do, but how exactly have I not put in the same amount of work as he has? Save the painting, and I think I've done alot more. You're demonstrating your ignorance if you think otherwise, now go drive your Jeep off a cliff and get back into the Prelude scene.

Go back to your own thread and wave your e-dick around. You're absolutely ridiculous for coming into this thread and trying to make your head even bigger. I wish I could drive my Jeep right into your front end and get you out of this scene for good.

And I don't hate you, I just really don't like you.
