Rising Suns Photoshoot @ Infineon *NO 56K ALLOWED*

Last weekend, I went over to Infineon (formerly Sears Point) Raceway w/ Leif (leif), Ruch (ruchmate) and their crew, Rising Suns that includes 2 evos, a mazdaspeed protege mp3, and a couple civic si's. I only sat passenger for 1 run in the silver and good lord do I have a newfound respect for those cars. He even owned the Spoon RSX!

Anyway, without further ado, >>>HERE<<< is a link to the album with a LOT more pics and also full sized shots (if you click the thumbanil twice).

Asitha's Silver Evo w/ a lot of Vishnu goodies

Ruch's EBP 5th gen w/ Tein & Mugen parts

Oh yeah, Ruch's dad's got an evo too

Ruch & the Protege at Tower.....at 6AM!!!

Leif's grapefruit shooter

Haha great pics Jeff, thanks a lot for them. Look in the background of the first yellow 993 Pic, you can see Asitha charging on two race spec cars (the Mustang and Vette).

what was the shutter speed for the 993 shots? just about the right amount of blur on those shots, I'm assuming you used a tripod

All: Thx for kind words I still see room for improvement, but at least I'm glad that people are enjoying my work.

Andy: Don't worry man, I'm sure Asitha would want me to do a shoot sometime in the near future. I didn't get the group shot I wasnted, so maybe if you bug him enough, he'll pick me up and we'll snap some shots.

Regarding the EPs, I still can't get over that one photoshop pic of Dr. Evil w/ an odyssey saying that he'll call the civic "mini-me" lol. I think about that everytime I see a new Si, but I think if it's done right with the right mods, it can look pretty decent.

DudewithaLude: Nope, I brought a tripod but decided not to lug it around w/ me up that huge hill, so everything you see except for the tower record pics are hand held. Off the top of my head (I'm at work now and can't check the speeds for the 993 shots), I had the camera at full zoom (155mm) with a ND4 (neutral density filter that slows down the shutter but maintains aperature size) filter on it at maybe F-Stop 5.6 or so with a shutter speed probably at around 1/60. Anything slower and it probably would have blurred the subject and anything faster wouldn't have gotten the motion feel. I'll double check on this when I get home and PM you if you're interested.
