Powder coated SH wheels ....

Bought this set of SH wheels from Davey Boy (Monstar) recently and you may
have seen my post regarding the <sarcasm>beautiful</sarcasm> transaction.
Anyways, they were cosmetically in very bad shape ... paint peeling, scratches
etc. I got them powder coated grey and this is what they looked like back
from the shop:

This is how they look right now, mounted on my Civic with CRV center caps,
oh and it's my DD so it's not going to be dropped ....

All's well that ends well. What do you think?

Doesn't look too bad actually. I sorta like the CRV caps on them.

I do not need to explain anything to you.
My broken wings still strong enough to cross the ocean with.
My broken wings how far should I go drifting in the wind.

I'm also interested in what it cost, I want to get my SH wheels redone before I mount winter tires.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Yes, they look a little small, but the Civic comes with 16s
in stock size, and I wanted to reuse the new tires. Also, did not want to go to 17s in fear
of degrading the ride quality as this is my DD and the wife also drives it sometimes.
I have the S2000 to rough me up anytime.

BTW, it cost me $55/wheel for the powder coating. Maybe more if you dont know the shop
as I have seen them quote other people $65-75/wheel.

Looks great! I just had my base '99 Prelude wheels done also. Did you have the entire rim coated including the bead area? Mine were and I was wondering if there would be any sealing issues? I was going to use a good bead sealer and hope for the best. Thanks.

Yes, every part of the rims were coated. I had not had any sealing issues whatsoever. Your's look good too. Post some pics on the car when you have them mounted.

looks good
i like how you put different caps on because it's harder to tell that they are SH rims.
instead, they almost look like your own custom Honda Optional Civic rims.
