AMEN. I get around 6 miles to the gallon. That is highway use. It sits in my dads garage while I am at school unless we take it to local area shows. The truck chassis is an 88 that had a 305. It does have a 454 out of a 93 454SS swap along with the tranny. We had a speed shop my uncle owns do a pretty nice build up of the engine. He said it was in bad shape so we had him replace everything that was worn. We sent the tranny to a shop that rebuilt it so we didn't have any problems down the line. They said the tranny was in good shape but we didn't care. The rear end was replaced with posi 4:10 gears so it isn't anything to spin in circles. Hooker headers to a flowmaster exhaust and it will spank the lude. I have never lined them up cause I don't trust other people to drive my car. I have had this truck since I was 15 and I am going on 24. It has taken 9 years to get it to look like it does.

I could say about imports but I have seen the light. My car is more fun to drive than my truck. I don't have to stop ever 40 blocks to get gas.
