I am a new prelude owner, or am as of maybe 2-3 weeks ago... took this long to get some batteries for my digi camera, so here are a few pics, would be better, but it is overcast:
I just wanted something clean looking, with all stock motor.. theres a few spots that need some love, the lip kit will most likely get sold anyways, and it needs a new grill.. and a right front turn signal(waiting till I can find a nice looking pair) but otherwise I have no regrets about going lude yet!
Now I am wondering if I should have blanked out my tag? Oh well..

I could use some advice on how to get these looking GOOD.. this is after a half cleaning, they didn't look like they were going to improve much:
Also, I would love something much better for a grill than this(lower part):
And the front lip needs paint so bad.. not sure where to go, or how much it may cost.. or if it would get screwed up easy again!
Besides the headlights and the lip, replacing that lower grill, I want to paint the stock rims.. otherwise, thats my car.

Grill - Looks like he cut out/dermal the "original" grill out to put that one in???
I did this.. from a harsher grain up to about 1500-2000 grain... then I pulled out plastic cleaner, then plastic polish.. yet still so much of that yellowish stuff was there.
I don't want to have to pull out the mouse sander on a headlight.. just seems wrong. I know there has to be something made specifically to take that yellow crap off, if I sand it too much more, there will be too many scratches.. and I want pristine clear headlights like I have seen in some other threads.
Mid-term in comin up soon, once I get past that, I think I will try again.. just want a different technique to try if possible.
And also, advice as far as the lower grill in the picture would be nice. I am broke, but chicken wire crap like that is not acceptable! Should I just paint it white? Replace it with newer? Find something with a better pattern?
And the front lip.. how much should that cost to get painted? I have had offers to paint a spoiler for about 100 bucks, do you think this should be about the same? It seems like a different material, kinda rubber like, so will it just get crappy again?

if you can afford to repaint the lip then go for that but be careful when searching for the best prices cause if you pay for a cheap paint job then it's gonna look cheap, ya know? i need to repaint my front bumper too but being a college student too we both know money is tight lol i just went out and bought some touch-up paint for now cause i plan on buying a mugen body kit and i figured i'd sacrifice some quality now so i have more money for later. honestly the touch-up paint doesnt look that bad, a lot of people that see my car dont even notice it. my car is also black so i guess it's less noticable. but anyways thats just my opinion, good luck with your lude man and congrats
Please don't paint the wheels. For the love of god, please don't.
And I use to keep my headlights clean just by buffing them out when I buffed out the rest of the car. then I would wax them with the rest of the car as well so they would look nicer and last longer.
Maquire's does make a polish for this application that I know a fewpeope have had pretty good success with.

Why not paint the wheels? I have seen a few that look good, and I am NOT willing to buy rims and compromise the ride itself.
Maguires does make a product for this application... I have a write up in the detailers section, with pictures of what I used and everything..
}I like what someone said just before you about getting and using touch up paint. I think I may do that just because it will reduce the eye soreness of looking at that front lip!
