I hope not...I used the Duplicolor Metal cast blue...it is supposed to be heat resistant.

I looked high and low for a DC Sport anodized blue plug wire cover but no one had any to sell so I took matters in my own hands and I have to admit, it does look pretty good. I lightly sanded the cover first and hit it with 3 coats of paint and then a coat of clearcoat. If and when it starts to look crappy then I'll repeat the process. I posted the link so if there were others wanting to know what it would look like beforehand they could see mine.
