Painted my dash red and wrapped door panels with marine vinyl...

I am one of those people who cannot afford to buy the red interior.. hehehe I just cant bear the fact that its soooo expensive for 13 year old red interior stuff... So me, with the help of JRD250 and secondchance started painting my dash and wrapped my door panels... and the center console.. plans for the seats will be coming in shortly...

here are some photos... hope you enjoy them... some of you might like it... some may not... overall... I enjoyed modifying it with my prelude owner friends Sorry for the mess.. my car got really dirty...

I agree, it looks awesome from a construction point of view but that red is just too bright. The jdm red is much darker.

nice work but i gotta agree with the rest.. the red is wayy bright. I'm sure it'll get lighter over time though? Oh and if you add red to the seats, make it subtle. Don't make it all red.

Judging by just the pictures, it does look like a pretty clean job. I'd like to reserve final opinions until I'd actually see it in person.

If you want an option to not pay the crazy prices of the SIR interior, why not get the beige interior and dye it? It takes very well to the dye just and FYI.

lol, those seats are what made me buy the s2k. My buddy actually has that corbeau seat in his s2k. I like the stock one better though.

yeah... I am leaning towards the s2000 seats... I saw one on ebay but the driver seat is kinda scratched already... There should be someone who is selling these seats in perfect condition... I just have to wait it out and keep looking around... Here's the one that I saw on ebay...

My only worry with the oem s2k seats are the modifications of the brackets... I dunno if altering them would be safe....

Looks like you did a good job. Quick question, do the components on the door panel (arm rest) come off the main panel easily? Do they need to be glued back or do they clip on? I was thinking of touching it up but wasn't sure what's involved. Is there a guide for this?

I agree that is a little bright but a very good job. What materials, prep, etc. did you use?

The S2K seats wont match well with the color you painter your interior with. They're a dark red and will stand out. I'd just get the Corbeau seats if I were you.
