I've always been an old school type of guy. I got love for the cafe racer style motorcycles and have been looking for a canvas to start on. After finding no decent Honda CB's in the area, I found a nice Suzuki GS650E. I proceeded to trade my 1st gen rx7 straight up for it.
I'll miss the rx7 a little bit, but this just feels right, plus now at the end of summer, I can focus on my prelude again.
I give to you my first bike. 1981 Suzuki GS650E. 14,512 miles on her as of now. I've rode about 300 of those. Only plans for it is to have the top end refreshed, all carbs rebuilt along with pod filters, rejet, GSXR front end swap, and some sort of cafe tail end set up. Working with a sub $3k budget that I had planned to spend on my rx7.
Not as fast as my riding buddies more modern bikes (R6, R1, F4i, 1000RR, gixxer 600), but isn't a complete slouch in the power department as one would think

She has a few goodies on her, such as the 4-1 header and exhaust and a set of drag bars.
Yes I have taken care of the mismatching side cover and have taken it off and sanded it down and just painted it a satin black.
The lude will get it's treats in due time for being patient with it's owner since I no longer have the task of maintaining two automobiles.
