I entered my first car show, which was the Nisei Showoff in Downtown Los Angeles' Little Tokyo. It was a lot of fun, met a lot of cool people, saw some great cars. Anyway, on to the pictures.
my Prelude got a makeover... more on that later.
so many incredibly clean engine bays. actually made me feel pretty insecure about mine hah.
gf and I loved this detail on the Starlet.
my lane neighbor. ended up winning the EF category. super cool guy.
I rather liked this Z. that being said, him and his friend win most impractical cars of the day. they were lierally scraping on the gutters of the lot (like the one right under the car)
a JDM inspired show is not complete without one of these.
the monster guy is eating my gf's head
Prelude's gone under a refresh since it was last seen in pics. finally put the parts on that I've been hording over the years.
front bumper is Wise Square/Behrman. fitment on it is quite good.
rear bumper is Wise Square/Behrman also. fitment was alright. I actually had to trim it quite a bit, and you can see it still pinches near the tail light on the side. that being said, I'm quite happy with the result. also replaced my replica Mugen wing with a genuine piece.
it was a lot of fun. definitely doing more in the future. I'll be better equipped though and bring my EZ Up, because it was just getting brutal. thankfully my lane neighbor let us chill under his canopy!
lots of great pics. i love looking through that many pics lol. car looks good man. only the second prelude i've seen with that bumper but the first ive seen with the rear
The Burman really fills out the front, but the rear makes the Prelude look to have an even fatter ass, but looks clean anyways.
Many nice cars there, I can't believe how much time/money people dump into their cars... What a frenzy!
haha thanks, yeah it kind of does look like a big ass in the pics, but part of it is the lighting. the bumper is actually shorter front to back than an OEM bumper.
it is actually really ridiculous how thought out those cars are. literally every single aspect has been scrutinized and modified. really nice attention to detail, which is quite awe inspiring.

thanks man! yep, Brides too, and the last thing I forgot to mention, which you can kind of see in this pic is Spoon calipers
besides a couple of random knick knacks, exterior is finally finished. interior is pretty much done, last thing is a simple roll bar and harnesses. but that stuff will come after I rebuild the motor. that being said, between the show and nordic97mist, I've got some inspiration to do a shave and tuck. cuz it's just so ridiculously clean. we'll see though...
car looks great, actually kinda liked it a little better before though. first time i have seen the rear. do they make sides as well? brides look awesome. more pics of female
thanks Roger! I can see where you're coming from, the other look is classic. you're not gonna like it when I put the red badges on haha. I've always liked red badges and have always envisioned when the exterior was complete that I'd add red badges to finish the look. IMO most people can make a clean car, but in order to truly have a unique one, you have to add the details.
yeah Behrman makes side skirts, although not a huge fan.

that side is ewww! might not be bad if it was molded in though. i don't like where the sides leave off at the top.
red badges on white look good. isn't about time for a rim change, lol
your car is still sweet though.
