all those pics are still using my coolpix 990. i haven't picked up a 2x/3x or wide angle for my 5000 yet, but i plan to very soon. the 5000 would be better for the night shots, as it has better low light sensitivity, higher iso equivalencies, and generally less noise. i didn't have a tripod with me so most of the pictures are a bit blurry.
the first picture is better than the rest because
a) wasn't trying to get the car into it, so i could take it from the right spot
b) found a level steady surface to place the camera on
c) it's actually two pictures spliced together so the effective horizontal resolution is significantly increased, and i didn't have to use a particularly wide lens.
