Custom shift boot with grey piping
momo e brake
2 carbon fiber switches (used to have nitrous with a bottle heater, haven't used the switches for anything else yet)
Pioneer cd/mp3/ipod adaptable stereo

These are pics new today (no sun, but you get the idea) Below these pics are some other looks I had. I am still proud of the vinyl because I would have never known how ugly it would be until I put it on my car.

OLD PICS

Seeing these new rims and tires pictured for the first time makes them look so small to me. I had 18" TE37's and a huge drop (unsure, old apc coil overs had been on the car for like 8 years, prob 3" or more)

I have a 2" drop now front and bakc on new springs and shocks w/ 17's and 40 series tires. There is still a lot of fender gap that I would like to close.

Seems like with the reasonable drop of 2" instead of the huge drop that these rims in 18" would look perfect. I would only put 18's back on with 40 series tires, 35 is too small.

Do these 17's look small to anyone else? Opinions about going to 18's in the same rims with 40 series tires? Or just get 45 series tires with the 17's to close up the gap?

If anything, I think 18's look too big on a prelude. I did the same thing you did (went from 18" rims to 17" rims), but I have ground controls so I just lowered my car more when I switched. I had 225/40/18's on my old wheels and 215/40/17's on my current wheels, and I had to lower my car about an inch to maintain a little less than a 1 finger gap when I switched wheels. I'm lowered about 2.5"-3.0" now to get the wheel gap I want, a 45 series tire wouldn't make up that .5" difference between your 2" drop springs and what you need would need to have almost no wheel gap with 17" wheels.

After having them for about a year then finally getting rid of them, I will never recommend 18" wheels for a prelude to anyone. Tires are stupid expensive and there is very limited selection, they rubbed the wheel wells on bad roads, they were heavy....I'd stick with the 17's.

I think your car looks good as it sits. The only way you are going to get rid of that wheel gap is to lower it more, but since you just replaced your springs, I'm going to guess that is not a option. Just give it a little time and you'll get used to the new wheels and less of a drop. Enjoy being able to go over speed bumps for a little while, I miss being able to do that.

Anyway, short version: Lower it more, or leave it alone. It looks good as it is.

18s are far too large if you want to keep the speedo close to accurate. I also think 17s are too big, that is why I pulled my Enkei's off. They are too fragile for running a small sidewall.

15-16 is the way to go

I actually sold the wheels for 1800$ It was a fair deal for both of us and it went to a nice clean rsx. I was just sick of the volks. I had them for 8 years in all different color combos and lips. It was hard to let go, but time to move on. I am actually looking for some g games wheels now.
