Not feeling the rear wing at all, and the paint job dates the car back to the early 90's. I'd love to see a different wing and a repaint, but if you're going for the old school JDM look then that's exactly what it is right now. Great project car, looks like a lot of fun!

Ehh, it doesn't matter. If he braces it properly and uses flex piping, new motor mounts, engine torque brace, etc. the XS will last a long time. Many people have coupled SSA manifolds with common sense and made them last 3 years running on SR20s.

The only manifold two stainless tubular manifolds I'd ever buy are Full Race, and whatever the cheapest is. Full Race is the only one I've never seen or heard of cracking, yet all the other jdm tyte brands have. Amuse, Trust, Tomei, etc. All of them crack if you just bolt them on.

I'll probably end up keeping my stock manifold with the GT2871R. That way I never have to worry about it. I'll probably lose about 2whp peak and response I'll never be able to feel.

Amazing car, man! I love it!

^Is that the NOB Taniguchi wheel? What happened to your other Nardi?

BTW, if you ever look into new wheels let me know. I'd love to get those for track wheels.

^That's correct I'm using the NOB wheel for the street and the other classic wheel for the track.

You think so?

When he first got it:

Granted he's got a great car, and he put a ton of work into the motor, but the he hasn't done too much to the exterior, which is what I would generally classify a "make over" as.

Oh, I didn't know that he purchased the car with that look. That look is an expensive look to achieve with that car because the parts are just so JDM. The motorwork is also a make over so either way its still very nice.

Rims, headlights, taillights, some little stuff here and there (the window visors, grille, emblems etc). You can't say that he didn't touch the exterior. Don't hate scott

What are you talking about hating? I wasn't hating his car. I love it. If I hate his car I hate my car.

If anything, I was hating "jinusean" because the car hasn't had a "major makeover". I was simply showing people that he hasn't really been up to a ton on the exterior, just perfecting it, throwing on ridiculous wheels/tires, etc. What he's really been working on is what he should be doing, making that car stupid fast, which is what he's done.

People are F A R too quick to bring out the concept of "hating". I don't get it.

Damn that is a sweet car but its not really a 180SX. It is but it isn't. I see the 180SX on the quater panel windows but instead of having the 180SX front with the popup headlights it has the Silvia front. So it probably a 180SX thats been converted to a Sil-Eighty. Which IMHO is better than the 180SX or a Silvia. For along time I've wanted to buy a U.S. 240SX hatch and swap the front for that of a U.S. 240SX Coupe. Nice find.

EDIT* My bad I just read all of the mods and you stated the conversion.

That was funny to read. You know there's really no such thing as a Sileighty, right? What I mean is Nissan never produced it. A Japanese shop called Kid's Heart basically invented the Sileighty, then had a few local dealerships do conversions and sell them as Sileighties. So it's a bit funny for you to say "That's not a 180SX! That's a sileighty!" when a Sileighty is simply a 180SX that had been wrecked and had Silvia headlights put on it.

What do you mean you want to buy a US 240 fastback and put a US 240 coupe front on it? If you do that you'll have...wait for it...the same exact thing. Did you just mistype and mean a JDM Silvia front on your US 240 fastback? I'm confused. Either way, if you want to talk to somebody about 240s, give myself, LVSBB6, or Scott (apocalypse) a shout. We know our stuff and we're willing to help.

S-chassis culture is cool...and remarkably confusing.

I'm still loving your car, man. I just picked up a set of *cough* similar *cough* wheels in bronze for my S13 fastback. I'll post up a pic in a sec.
