nice rims. Let us know how they hold up though. I don't wanna scare ya, but i've heard a bunch of horror stories on how the SSR comps are super weak and bend easily.

IS that pearl white and if so did you paint your stock skirts to match the body? I had a hell of a time trying to match that color!

Damn I wouldn't think that the SSR Competitions bend easy??? The Real Time Racing Integra's and the BMW's in the Speed World Challenge use those wheels and they seem to hold up really well..................

I've always loved those wheels. Nice car!

islandlude,

nice ride.

I wanna do the same style rims
on mine...gunmetal type with silver lip...

Is your drop 1.8 inches...I also
have the H&R springs but RACE ones they are

just wondering if i get 18's with
215/45, whether it'll rub, or look too
big, or if there will be a gap...?

thanks for the responses.

The color is a custom BASF pearl white and the autobody did a good job in matching the side skirts with the rest of the car. But you are right in that its difficult to do. The car use to be San Marino Red and is US spec Type SH Lude. I do hear its easier to get the JDM engines here and cheaper.

as for the ssr's, I did hear about the rims bending easily thats y i got the 40 series. Hoping that the 18s will hold up better than the smaller sizes.

As far as the drop, its about a finger in the back, which i dont know what that translates to. I wished it dropped more in the back...maybe i need a kit or adjustable shocks? Are koni shocks adjustable?

islandlude,

Nice ride Chelu. It's good too see another fellow islander on PO.com BTW, I'm a Chamorro Statesider from WA state.

18s on Guam? I always thought the roads on Guam were kind of bad especially for plus-size rims. Do you have any problems with the roads on Guam?

I was in Seattle this weekend and the roads aren't meant for 18s. Everytime I hit a pothole, railroad track, construction steel plate, etc. I cringed. I have 18in Advan Kreuzers with 215/40series Yokohama Paradas and the ride is harsh. I think my ride had enough for Seattle and for sure I won't be driving back up for a long time.

Drew....

Roads here still suck, but getting better. Can't drive fast cuz of of all the potholes, but I basically know where they all are so I avoid them. I'm so glad i went with 40 series tires over the 35s

Lude1Sh..

I use to rub (+42 offset), but i after i shaved down the rear tabs i'm fine. You probably can run 215/45s but they will rub if the offset is not high enough. I personally think they are too big, but with H&R race springs u'll definately be tucked.
