New member. Warning: my contain Nissan content!

This may as well serve as my introduction, I'm OMSINsx, located some where in Austin, TX. I've been into anything with wheels since I was a kid, picked up my first tuner magazine back in 97 and never looked back, I think it was a Super Street mag.

Anyways my reason for joining this particular forum is research, I'll be getting a prelude soon. I've always loved the fifth gen ludes, so naturally I'm looking into getting an 2001 Prelude Type SH. It will be the daily driver, however I do plan on giving it some attention, exhaust, wheels, struts, springs, audio, and maybe some type r seats.

The current ride and future project is an 1993 240sx Coupe SE. (NOTE: I have done nothing to it, all work was done by the previous owner).

Rock'n the primer paint job with monster truck status look

My favorite part of the car minus the over spray.

To be honest, the trunk is the cleanest part of the 240

The only thats changed is there is now a crack in the dash and some Yashio Factory parts up front.

I had to whore the Yashio Factory pieces, so clean and reek of JDM goodness.

i have driven a few different cars and hondas are okay but i drove a 95 240 with an sr20det swap and loved it, they are so much more comfortable and handle so much better than a lude... i still dont know why i bought a 5th gen lude... probably cuz i got it for a good price but now im forcing myself to love it after i spent all winter in the garage with it.....

well to each his own.. but dont force him to get the SH just because YOU like it..

I know plenty of lude owners that are dissatisfied with their SH's, just because they later found out that if they want more power they need to deactivate the atts, and then be running around with ~100lbs of dead weight.

So to the OP, good luck finding your lude man

Any basis behind this? What makes the SH so much better for him?

SH blows a fish out the water. base is better lighter faster with out the dead weight. jaja base is best. but it depends on the driver. id would get an SH if i was in circuit racing for the cornering power .... NOT i hate those things, because of atts.

i've owned both a base and a type sh. i like the sh much better. i wouldn't recommend a base to anyone unless they plan on drag racing / making more than 250whp. any other questions

I don't know many people who have ludes that have atts become non functional/deactivated because of making too much power. SH's do have more maintenance issues because of atts but imo its worth it for the better handling.

Also I'm not forcing him to do anything, I'm giving him my honest opinion. But you are right, to each his own.

I'm not getting a lude unless it's an SH! In terms of comparing, there both great looking cars other than that they a completely different. However I can tell as the previous owner of an 98 Civic DX coupe, I prefer RWD over FWD, but who knows maybe the lude will change my mind.

O and thanks to most of you who are being nice to the new kid on the block.

Well yeah, youre right, but only if you want to keep the stock ECU. If you a want to tune your car with hondata or any other program converting to obd1, it will automatically deactivate the atts, therefore having dead weight on your car.
