New Member Introduction with Prelude Photos

I joined a few days ago and I want to introduce myself and my new Prelude to the forum.

I live in the north west part Alabama and I purchased my first Honda automobile, a 1997 Prelude Type SH, two weeks ago. I have a few old cars that I enjoy driving but they are all American cars. I have an old Cadillac, an old Lincoln(purchased new by Mario Andretti), a Camaro Z28 and an Oldsmobile 442 convertible; you can tell I like all types of automobiles! My daily driver is a supercharged Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with the Comp G package.

My newly acquired Prelude is a one owner car with 167,000 miles. It was purchased new in southern middle Tennessee where it has remained. I ran a Carfax and it came back clean. It has no modifications except for the muffler which I plan on replacing with a stock Prelude muffler next week. I has never been wrecked and all the body panels have the Honda VIN stickers that match the car's VIN. The car's glove box has the owner's manual and the car's window sticker.

I purchased the car for $2,600. I think that is a fair price considering the car's good condition. I negotiated the price down from $3,500. The original owner and I negotiated for three weeks before we agreed on the final sale price.

I plan on having the windows tinted and at some point having a new set of tires installed.

Thanks for reading my post.

Wow, good deal. Kinda high miles, but it is a Honda. Just keep an eye on the oil consumption.

Also, nice first post.

Holy cow, $2.6k. What a screaming deal. Very glad to have you here.

I'd say half the users on this board own other cars, so you will fit right in.

Cinci,

Thanks. No, it is not lowered. It is 100% stock except for the aftermarket muffler.
