thanks, i wish i had a body kit and rims, but that will all come sooner or later does anybody with a turbo have this hood? i was talking to vis and they said that i should get a heat shield to put over the turbo so the hood won't warp from the turbos heat........ anybody had any experience with that? thanks for the comments!

i got it directly from vis racing. the cost was around 500. they do an awesome job with the carbon fiber, and the fitment was pretty good too i have now fallen in love with the way carbon fiber looks

i think i might have to get hood pins also, just for extra security, i hate the look of hood pins but i don't want my hood flying off.....

I was going to get a similar hood to get rid of the warping issue. I have a cf hood but the heat from the turbo is messing up the color and finish of the hood. If there was a scoop the heat would dissipate fast enough to where the hood would not heat up too much right? Let me know how it works because that is the route I was going to go. just be careful that when it rains you take off the hood because a few drops could crack your manifold.

the hood is awesome!! it dissipates heat very quickly. for the vent/rain problem i'm going to rig a black plastic piece that i can put over the vent when it rains, it'll look like how the mustangs do with those big fake vents on the hood . i'll let you know how that goes as well. you can also look into getting a heat shield for your turbo, i know you can get a generic one for pep boys if you have one around where you live. how long did you hope this helps...

nah..... i think i'm going to go with the ww rs kit, i think it will look good with the front just a little bit longer. i don't want to do anything really drastic. the only reason i got the hood instead of another stock one was to a.) start to shed some pounds b.) cool my turbo when i get it put on (it'll be in next week i can't wait!!!).
i don't even think it looks too bad with the oem stuff. but one day after turbo expenses go away i will get the rs kit and some nice rims
