Little update. Well I have had the past week off work, so thought I would put some time to the lude.
Firstly though, my younger brother has been crying out to have a little drive, so I took him down the local industrial estate for a quick blast last Sunday (once up to temp of course

):
Well there have been a few bits that I have wanted to do/check recently, for example, checking out the rust situation on the rear arches and sills and investigating the oil low down in the engine bay and on the transmission housing.
So, it was a case of giving her a quick clean...
...and straight in to the garage
First thing was to check the arches and sills. Well I haven't yet got round to checking the sills as the skirts are not coming off particularly easy and I am scared of breaking the clips

ops: Will be doing this soon though.
As for the arches, I regularly keep a close eye on them as there have been some very minor signs of rust coming through on the lips. So, it was a case of sanding them back again, treating with genolite and painting over again. Can't afford to get them professionally treated so, in the meantime, I am keeping on top of them as best I can
Next on the list was to check the oil seepage situation, so I have wiped off the excess oil on the gearbox housing and in the engine bay and will now wait and see if it reappears. It seems to me that it has occured from past oil changes when I didn't have a funnel and it has run down the side of the rocker cover and poured down the back of the block

ops: The car is losing no oil whatsoever and I know that the gearbox levels are fine from my last service. Will keep a close eye on this too though
So the lude has been in the garage all week and now I am reluctant to take it out as she is bone dry, the arches are looking good and she is cleaner than ever

Therefore, I decided to try my hand at some garage photography again
Engine bay still needing some work, i.e. new cam cover and manifold (wink wink):
