My Prelude

I've had my Prelude for 8 years now. I went from moderately interested in modding my car to no interest and now i'm at a point in my life where I can spend some time and money on it I have some retrofits from Brian (prelude1987, bce retrofits), smoked jdm fogs and the amber part of the tails cleared out. No pics of the inside but I have some tweeters coming out of the stock housing and some mugen pedals, nothing too interesting.

You can get a higher res picture if you remove the 'l' from the end of the urls.

Possibly going to get this lip and my base skirts and rear painted in the next month, might hold out for a mugen replica though. Mocked up with tape. Old headlights in the pics.

Lookin' very nice so far! Do you have any plans for engine mods or do you only plan on focusing on cosmetic mods?

Thanks! I just swapped the H22A in about 2k miles ago, I am about to graduate so I am going to hold off on engine mods until I am moved and settled. I would probably go a N/A route, obd1 ecu w/ hondata, cams, throttle body, intake manifold and a tune of course. I'm not aiming for any certain number or time, I just like to modify things I own. The intake was one of the first things I replaced on the car, I really liked that it was loud at wot but you couldn't tell under normal conditions. I bought the header because the bracket that mounts the oem header to the block had a crack and I was getting that nasty rattle that comes with it. The Dc header did the same thing eventually but I had someone cut the flange off at that point. I bought the M2B4 transmission when my M2Y4 stopped going into reverse. The things that have priority are a new hood, fixing a small leak in the rear quarter panel that gets into the trunk, and some new paint

Some pics I took just now. I spent most of the day with a clay bar and some wax, i'll get around to the interior next weekend. My yellow h3c's burned out so I did the h3 mod and got some silverstars from a local store, I liked the tint of the yellow's better.

Haha, I hear you, full suspension is in the works, I just need to find someone with the tools and space to do it for cheap. This is my last semester and the school parking lot is terrible so that and the lip are going to wait till December.

Some updates. I painted a few valve covers last month, put the last one on my motor so I could paint mine. I'm thinking of going a gunmetal gray or some type of blue. I got some ngk plug wires and reservoir covers, and painted the battery tie down. I also replaced the power steering pump and flushed the system. The tie down, plug wire cover, ps pump and radio trim around my head unit are all the same gray color now. A few weekends ago I went downtown and chose a bad spot to park. They broke the window and got my worthless sony headunit but missed some expensive textbooks under an expensive jacket, even some cash in the glove box. I got the Honda oem carbon fiber trim kit and a 7" pioneer touch screen to replace the stolen/damaged parts. Suspension is coming, just waiting on the seller to get his ride back.
Before

After

It looks like its shiny but it has a slight wrinkle texture, it was the worst of the 3 I painted.

New screen and trim

This time when they break in and steal **** maybe it will total more than the deductible. Getting limo tint redone on the front windows and a car alarm next too.

You can take the 'l' out of the end of the image url's to view a higher res picture.

Merry Christmas! Lots of stuff in the works, got an oem PU replica lip yesterday. Got some spare interior door handles that are being wrapped in 3m carbon di-noc. AP1 S2000 steering wheel will be in next week as well as GC coilover/KYB AGX setup. Front windows are finally re-tinted a legal shade.

Put the wheel in a few weeks ago.

I'm dropping the optional front and rear lip and mugen replica sides to get patched up and painted today. JDM window visors on the way as well.

Also finally started to prep my valve cover to get painted, if anyone knows a good hi-temp gunmetal paint let me know.

Woot! Looking great man, awesome start. Can't wait to see how she progresses over the next few months. My thumbs are way, way up bud.

One problem that i see from my perspective... Are you going to swap that cluster bezel out for a Type-S bezel, or you gonna keep that cheezy looking thing? Other than that, your lude make me so hawny!

Yeah that bezel face wasn't at all what I imagined it would be, i'll probably take it off when I replace an led that went out. I might just snag that type s bezel on icbmotorsports, I have to re-order my visors and they have some there as well. Thanks!

Lip kit is on. Big thanks to Prelude1897 for painting and installing. I had to throw the front plate on for a trip out of state recently, didn't want to get pulled over.

Better pics another day. Next step is getting the GC/KYB combo put on.

Looks golden man. And id be care with ICB... i ordered two parts from them once, and both times I never got the product nor found any way to get in contact with them, they never replied to my emails.

There are better places. Try Boom Plus Toys. I got my Type-S intake from them, they are very fast, no problems for me. And I live in Alabama!

Thanks for the heads up, I got the tracking for the bezel but strangely enough the visors I ordered the day before haven't been shipped. I've sent them an email just to make sure they got it. Edit: got the shipping on those as well just now.

We got our yearly day of snow/ice in Texas today. The tails are different than the ones in previous pics, I have yet to clear the amber on this set (they are partially cleared on the driver side but hard to tell until the bulb goes off). I keep forgetting to take my front plate off as well.

Very nice progress and cool to see your interest to modify the car after owning it for 8 years.

Thanks, I am about to start work in April so the car should be done in the summer. After the GC/KYB I'm going to get some bronze c10's, short shifter, hytech replica, mugen exhaust . Then i'll be ready for my 335i

The Type S bezel made its way through the ice and snow, window visors should be here tomorrow. I also snapped a picture of the mugen shift knob.

We got more snow today, strange weather for Texas. Put my visors on. Weather needs to get better so I can get it dropped.

I rolled into that spot from my garage and snapped the pic, I don't park in handicapped spots or anything.
