I have the Mugen Showa suspension, and I (like oh so many other PO.com members) highly reccomend it.
I previously had Tokico Illumina 5- way adjustable shocks and Eibach Pro-kits. For what they cost, I was highly dissatified.
A heavy (or heavier) car like the prelude cannot tolerate being slammed for anything other than looks. The Mugen kit drop is perfect for all practical purposes.
trulegend: I used Zymol polish. It doesn't cost too much, and most Wal-Marts, K-Marts, and Pep-Boys carry it. I think the most important, and time-consuming part of waxing is the polishing part. All swirls, imperfections, and marks need to be buffed over and over before you go ahead and apply wax. I always found that part to be key. Zymol works great, I've also used Mothers polish and pre-wax cleaner in the past also with great results..
The final coat in these pics is with (super-expensive) Meguires Gold Class caranuaba wax.
I also used Meguires tire gel, the stuff works wonders without being over-glossy. It really lasts like 2 weeks, on average, which is pretty good. The stuff smells like grape bubble gum
why do people constantly want to eliminate all evidence of any wheel gap??!!
I'm happy with the Mugen drop, it's a nice increase in handling without compromising the integrity of the car.... not to mention there's no need to correct for camber. not at all....
I know other ppl will say " yeah, and I don't need a camber kit with my Eibach, or H&R, or whatever", but they won't be able to say that when their tires start to get eaten up!

I like the way it smells also... but read the label on the back. It reads, "Caution, do not inhale vapors". The question is, why make it smell so good if you arent supposed to smell it. Beats me...
BTW: very clean ride, I agree with you on the Showa suspension, not every car need to be slammed to the ground. Kudos on the RCII's... I love those rims.

any chance you live around Shrewsbury/Tinton Falls area?
I see a Crystal Blue lude all the time and I noticed the Monmouth county under your name.......
i'm not sure, I live in Freehold, work in raritan center in edison, and go to school at Rutgers in new brunswick.... my car is nordic mist and has been out of commission for awhile (about a month) but she should be back sometime this week. What area you from?
jherm: I have the OEM kit. It's a really easy install. I did everything except the front lip, and used a Helms manual to correlate with the directions from Honda. I love the kit, mostly because it's urethane and it flexes.
red92si: thanks!
Tony: I live in Ocean county, work in Monmouth. My bad on your color, NM is so close to CBM..
hawks10: my mirrors are the Honda Access ones, I ordered them through randdmotorsports.com , ( I think thats the address)
They used to have small vinyl lettering at the bottom of each mirror, but I scraped it off with a razor blade. The lettering was too distracting and stood out a little too much...
I know the Spoon mirrors are plain like mine, and I believe they even cost less ( I paid way too much for mine). But they are more convex and mine are more flat. It takes long enough to get used to viewing everything in blue, let alone have the angle all distorted from the convex shape...
Overall though, I'm very happy. They reduce glare big time, especially at night. And they fit perfect, you just clean the original mirror and then stick these over top of them. Really only other Prelude or Honda fans would even notice them. Passengers notice them usually though.
