I'm a big fan of your car so far, but what I'd really like to see is some details on how you got the transmission to bolt up with that Moroso Oil Pan on the engine. This is a modification I'm really considering more and more. Could you please show some more pictures?

Well, on the way home, just as we pulled out of the shop, Things were going smoothly until the car started bucking and we lost power steering. Check Engine light came on and we pulled over. We opened up the hood and noticed that the power steering belt came off. We looked further and noticed that the crank pulley was loose. So we have to wait until Monday for the mechanic to take a look at it(He is out of town, we were taking it home to do some work to it ourselves). There are three things that we think could be wrong with it.
1. The pulley is broken.
2. The Crank key is Broken.
3 The worst of all, something is wrong with the crank.

It was driving fine that other day we took it out, so we are thinking and hoping that the crank key just broke and nothing else. If not, we could be set back a bit.

What really sucks is we broke down literally one minute from the shop, but the shop was uphill on a busy road. So we had to call a tow truck...

I can personally tell you that just when everything is all tightened down and strapped in, something will inevitably go wrong

Not making fun man, I've just been down that path before and I know it sucks.

Keep us posted

I know it totally sucks, I've read your build thread, took me hours. I love your car and you've done some great things to the "Best Prelude in the World"!!! i have also read all the times you breakdown. I woulda gotten a picture of my car on the tow truck(for the whole minute it was on), but my battery died.

So the car is home, but has had some problems from the start. When testing the first day it got home, it was misfiring like a biatch. misfiring 90% of the time on 1 cylinder and about 5% of two. So I got a second new pair of spark plugs. But it was still happening. So then I decided to get a new distributor cap, but didnt help. After a few hours of trying to figure out what happened, me and my dad gave up for the night. It was the next day after looking at another prelude, that my dad noticed that the stock coil had been taken out and replaced with some aftermarket ****. He read that the stock coil has 4 wires connected to it, the coil in mine only had 2 wires. So I did some more reading a found out that the stock coil needed to stay in IN ADDITION TO the aftermarket. So im getting rid of the aftermarket coil in it currently and replacing it with a stock coil and this Jacobs racing coil and ignition that my dad had.

So while I was waiting on a new coil, I decided to polish up some stuff.

Dont bother with that stuff. I'd just go with OEM.

So the car is running, but is leaking a little antifreeze and revving a little high, but those will hopefully get fixed soon.

Time for a small update.

For the past few weeks I have been ordering and waiting on parts to get here.
New Parts:
72mm throttle body

The tps sensor on the old throttle body was broken...

OBD1 p72 with conversion harness

Hondata s300

While the throttle body was off, I got a picture of the ported Intake Manifold.

I will be getting it tuned shortly, but am still waiting on a Fuel Pressure Regulator And I am designing a piece for the IM, So that has to get made first.

So its been almost 2 months since my last update. It has taken me a very long time to get it ready to get tuned, mostly because I have not had much time to work on the car, waiting for more parts, and having to replace soo many things because the car was in bad condition when I bought it, way worse than I first thought. Well I am going to try to make an appointment next week for the tuning, but I might as well share what I have done to it in the past two months.

changed out the stock injectors to the RC 440cc Injectors.
changed the stock fuel pump to a Walbro 255 LPH High pressure fuel pump.
Battery Relocation to the trunk.
installed a Jacobs electronics Ignition system.
Installed AEM fuel filter.
Installed AEM fuel pressure regulator.
Installed fuel pressure gauge.
Had a new magnaflow oval muffler installed.
Changed the fuel lines.
And the thing that has taken me the most time, I will not reveal. I will say It has something to do with the intake, but thats all.
I am now waiting on some magnecor spark plug wires.

All that needs to be done at this point to get it ready for a tune is to change the plugs and I need to tidy up some wires. So hopefully by next week I will be able to provide some HP numbers.

Here are some pics of the battery relocation and jacobs ignition.

You can see the mess of wires I have from the ignition

I still need to cut out the carpet for the battery, but it works for now.

Here you can see the AEM FPR, AEM fuel filter, and fuel pressure gauge
